I was born somewhere where the sun shines a little diffferent. I believe in honoring where I came from through my work. The textures of the land, the silence of the desert skies. Our clothing is not loud, subtle like our desert, but they speak clearly. Dust, wind, sun, palm trees, are all memories stitched and printed onto our garments. 

This is more than a clothing brand. It's a reminder that you can belong in high design and art if you're dedicated and passionate. I create for those that feel deeply. Our pieces are built carefully with balance in mind. Modern silhouettes, quiet tones and textures pair with symbolic graphics to create something new. Every piece is made with intention, every color and line inspired by the elements that make the Coachella Valley home.

ABOUT ME

My name is Emmanuel Sandoval, an American with Mexican roots. I was raised in the Coachella Valley in the small unincorporated territory of Thousand Palms.

Growing up here, I found beauty in the stillness. The way the wind moves through dunes and palm trees. The faded colors of old architecture. The boldness of mid-mod architecture. All these elements influenced my creation of SISAO. 

Growing up, I would spend 3 months out of the year in my parent's hometown of Jalpa, Zacatecas. These moments of escape served as windows or portals into the past. Grounding myself in the town that made my parents, along with the majority of my family who they are. 

The Coachella Valley and Jalpa, along with exposure to pop culture and design in both of these destinations influenced me to create something of my own.

I created SISAO as an outlet to create art that feels organic to me. There has been a focus on my end towards minimal pieces and visual or audible art that sounds like home. Simple, intentional art rooted in identity. Through fashion and art, I give myself the freedom to explore where my heritage, influences and modernity collide to create a fresh visual language.

I value storytelling over trends. I value simplicity over cluttered noise. Creating something that lasts in the physical realm and in memory.
